ProFix the original and best nail plug!
Made from high impact polystyrene they are a special plug for fixing cable clip pins or similar small nails into very hard masonry/concrete or very soft substrates such as aercrete blocks etc.
For masonry – drill a 5.5mm hole and insert plug – tap in cable clip nail

For soft aercrete blocks or plaster board (drywall or sheetrock) which doesn’t grip nails firmly enough, drill a 5mm hole insert plug and tap in the clip, with some very soft substrates the plug can be tapped in without drilling, hammer plug directly into block and tap in cable clip nail.

Please note: we are offering just the wall plugs here, the cable clips shown in the photographs are not included, they are for illustration purposes only (we have a selection of clips in stock, you can find them on our site under ‘cable clips’)

For use with cable clip pins or other small nails, masonry or otherwise (the plug comes with a ready hole for the nail, pin or possibly even a small diameter screw).

Specifications:

Plug Diameter:  5mm

Plug Length: 18mm

Nail Diameter Accepted:  1.5mm, 2mm & 2.5mm

Some recent customer feedback:

“After trying unsuccessfully to nail cable clips to a really hard layer of mortar and ending up with bent nails. I wondered if there was such a thing as rawl plugs for cables clips…. There are and these are them! These work perfectly. Drill the hole, insert cable clip nail plugs and hammer cable clip into place. Job done. So easy”.

“Ideal for helping to hammer in clips to secure external cables over rendered brickwork”.

“I’ve been struggling for years fixing cables to masonry, on the recommendation of a friend I tried these, all it takes is a little pre drilling, well worth it for a firmly fixed cable run. As an added bonus they’re great indoors too – I’ve used them on plaster board and even recently in an old cottage with horrible walls of a lime wash over the old black mortar.”

“A* all round. Plugs work well in “impossible” situations. Highly rec.”
