These came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from Slovenia. They are stored with us still as they came in to us, packed in plastic trays and are in good condition. However having been in storage for some years we have classified them as ‘new other’. But don’t forget – as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.

This Tesla Chip is a clone of the Intel D8228 system controller, part of the Intel D8080A CPU family 

They were used in early computers in Czechoslovakia used for teaching programing machine code in Czech and Slovakian Polytechnics and Universities in the 80’s

It was developed and manufactured in the Tesla Piestany factory whose core business was to produce active components like diodes, transistors and integrated circuits, including the MHB 8080A CPU and support chips from this family.
