Consists of parallel stranded tinned copper wire conductors laminated between layers of grey PVC film to form a flat ribbon cable suitable for use with standard IDC connectors such as D types, dual in line, card edge etc  – please see our shop.

The laminate ensures precise alignment and spacing between conductors, essential during assembly with the connectors.

Each conductor is formed from 7 strands of 28 AWG overall.

Ribbon cables provide a simple, quick and cost-effective solution to mass termination.

They also have space and weight saving advantages over other wiring methods and are ideal for use on computers, peripherals, and interface units, audio and digital equipment.

PLEASE NOTE!

This cable comes to us as surplus stock from a large distribution or manufacturing companies and has usually been kept in storage for a time, it is however pristine, stored with us still on original reels, the photographs are representative of it’s excellent condition, being of some of our actual stock, and, as with all our products it comes with a full guarantee.

If you have similar items to this, or indeed any electronic components that are surplus to requirements please contact us with details.
