Manufactured in 2014 they are stored with us in makers boxes of 36 pieces
Each stamped with an expiry date of 30/4/2019 however we use this tape ourselves and it is still fine to use.
25mm (1inch) X 0.51mm (.020inch) X 9.15 Metre (30ft )
Colour Grey with blue centre line (to aid in half lapping the tape when winding on)
Application
Simply wind on the tape under some tension to stretch it a little as you overlap
(the stretching causes a chemical reaction in the tape so that the top layer bonds to the one underneath)

Plymouth 20 Plysil is a 20 mil (0,51mm) triangular cross-section
Self-amalgamating, silicone rubber tape used for jacketing high voltage terminations on solid dielectric cable through 69kV.
Plymouth 20 Plysil silicone tape is track and erosion resistant and can be used as primary insulation for high temperature (180°C) applications. ASTM-D-2148, MIL-I-46852A.

This is a high specification self amalgamating tape, but at this ‘offer’ price is a useful addition to any technician/handyman/ radio ham/electrician’s toolkit.
Ideal for use sealing electrical cable/coaxial cable connections antenna joints exterior connectors etc. – it also has a multitude of other uses in the workshop and in and around the house!
This particular tape has a centre line to guide the user re overlap depth. Originally supplied to the electronics industry, due to an over order we can offer it here at this bargain price.
The method of use is to cut off a suitable length and peel back the non stick separating strip, this leaves the soft rubbery tape which is wound (while being stretched to 2/3 its width) around the joint or cable to be sealed, overlapping the tape to the blue line ensures it bonds to itself and provides a completely watertight seal.

These rolls of tape came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large Milspec type Co. and have been kept in storage for some time, we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’. They are however pristine, stored with us still in their original packaging and ‘as new’ in all respects, the photographs are representative of their excellent condition, being of some of our actual stock, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
