These high quality leads with moulded connectors both ends will have various approval stamps but could be made by a variety of manufacturers dependant on availability, all are high quality and durable power cable assemblies for connecting an appliance to a mains power supply. Fully equipped with a UK  3 pin mains plug on one end and an IEC C13 type connector on the other that connects to the appliance. They feature integrated strain reliefs that provide additional protection and support to the connectors and prevent damage caused by excessive bending

IEC is the technical name for the input plug used on nearly all computers and loads of other electronic equipment, It’s similar to the old kettle style plug but has no cut out notch. This lead is terminated with a fully moulded IEC plug which is used to connect the power cord to an appliance which has an IEC C14 inlet. C13 and C14 connectors have 3 pins, a rated current of 10 A and a maximum temperature rating of 70°C, and are sometimes referred to as IEC ’cold connectors’. IEC connectors conform to a set of specifications called IEC-60320 laid down by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) to ensure they meet common global design standards

IEC C13 and C14 power cords or IEC leads are for use with IEC Class I appliances and are mainly used in computer equipment but can also be used in some domestic and commercial appliances. The most common applications include the following:

• Personal Computers and hard drives
• Test equipment
• Power distribution devices
• Server and network equipment
• Instrumentation amplifiers
• IT equipment
