IDC DIL Female Header Socket Range Including Separate Strain Relief

The strain relief clips are also listed separately under our ID no EB52

Strain relief clips on to the connector and cable once assembled, to protect the cable from being dislodged from the connector when in use.

Please note these are Polarised ie there is a locating ‘bump’ in middle of the socket body designed to fit into a ‘cut out’ on the mating plugs body.

Polarised connectors can only be mated one way round, non polarised can be mated either way round.

Photographs are representative of the range, all the connectors in the range are exactly the same in design only the contact numbers differ.

Suitable for standard ribbon cable – pitch between conductors 0.05in/1.27 mm (see our shop for multi coloured or grey ribbon cable)

These IDC sockets mate to standard 2.54mm (0.1″) PCB Header plugs or male IDC plugs.

Easy to assemble IDC termination simply insert flat cable and press down the plastic top section thereby causing the insulation to be displaced and connection made, special tooling is available for this but satisfactory results can be achieved by competent engineers simply using a vice.
