40 Way DIL boxed header (40 gold plated contacts).
Right angled PCB mount polarised plug.
Includes a polarisation location notch or cut out, designed to mate with a socket with a an appropriate ridge which ensures correct mating, i.e. they will only mate one way.
Polarisation is one or more features on a connector pair that makes it impossible to mate incorrectly. Polarising will allow mating in the correct orientation but prevent mating in any other manner. The most common mis-mating prevented with polarisation is when one of the connectors is rotated by 180°.

These are as seen in the photographs, i.e. they do not have the latch levers sometimes incorporated in this type of plug, used to lever out the connected socket when disconnection is required.
Manufactured in the 80’s by SAE (Stanford Applied Engineering A US parent Co. to Midland Ross)
These are stored with us still sealed in original packaging (boxes of 40 pieces) and are absolutely ‘as new’.
Given their age and the ‘Milspec’ type manufacturer these connectors were both, made to a higher specification, and gold plated to a much higher level than is available today!
PLEASE NOTE!
These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Milspec’ Co. and have been kept in storage for some time, we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’. They are however pristine, stored with us still in their original packaging and ‘as new’ in all respects, the photographs are representative of their excellent condition, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
