Totally gold plated contacts to ensure a fault free connection, used to mount the smaller 8 pin range of chips ie. timer chips 555’s, 741’s LM series etc.
Low profile turned pin precision contact DIL sockets with standard 0.1″ (2.54mm) pin spacing to suit 0.3″ width chips.
Please note the pins on these sockets are the square profile 15mm long wire wrap type usually used mounted through hole on a PCB and requiring a wire wrapping tool to efficiently connect fine single core wire to the long wire wrap pins.
As used in high end electronic assembly eg. the avionic and aerospace industries.
Wire wrap DIL IC sockets with a closed frame housing. These DIL IC sockets have screw machined (turned) half hard brass outer pins with a beryllium copper contact. The contact and the outer pins are gold plated. The pins of these wire wrap DIL IC sockets feature a straight knurled barrel which prevents the pin rotating during the wrapping process. The frame is made from PBT with a UL 94 V-0 rating.
