These are stored with us still in NSN packaging sealed in the mid 1950’s.
NSN (National Stock Number) 10W-272410
They are stored with us in original Colvern Ltd packaging and are unused and absolutely ‘as new’.
When you open your consignment that will be the first time they have seen the light of day since 1954 or 55.
‘MILSPEC’ packaging consisting of – a sealed poly bag, inside which the pot is wrapped tightly in brown paper which is itself wrapped in adhesive paper tape.
A search of this part no. revealed a link to an early British RADAR system!
Also on the casing is a further part no. CLR.4239/263
Searching this no. indicates it is a Colvern general type, but the info found referred to identical pots of different values 50 Ohm, 100 Ohm etc

Placing a screwdriver in the slot, the shaft can be turned to just over 3/4 of a full 360′ revolution.

As can be seen from date stamps these were manufactured and sealed in their packaging way back in the mid 1950’s – see photographs
