ECM/ECS lighting control unit – legacy kit at BT their type no. 4890.
The time delay before turn off can be set anywhere between 15 to 120 minutes.
An automatic lights control unit for office /warehouse/garage etc.
The unit is designed to be installed in any lighting circuit (full installation and test instructions are provided see photographs above) to provide firstly an alarm, and then an automatic turn off of the lights.
If you have a store, or room in your business or home frequently visited and often left with the lights on, this unit could prove very beneficial re electricity consumption.
The unit consists of a smart outer case with hole cut outs for cable entry (brass gland fitted), the alarm piezo sounder and neon light.
Inside is the control PCB with various components – capacitors, relays, chips, etc etc.
PLEASE NOTE!
These came to us as part of a bulk purchase of surplus stock they are “as new” still in original packaging but as they have been in storage for some time we have classified them as ‘new other’.
Manufacture date August 1987.
The only evidence of their age we can see is some grey oxidisation on the four lid fixing screws, the outer box and the PCB assembly inside are pristine.
