SURPLUS ELECTRONIC
COMPONENTS AND EQUIPMENT!
For sale here we have the above…
1 Piece
Vintage relay from the early days of electronics.
Elliott Brothers London Ltd. were a British instrument, computer and component manufacturer, now no longer in existence, as a consequence we can find no information on these parts, however we have managed to glean the following…
Elliott brothers made very early computers for RADAR and other military uses – chart recorders, tape readers, printers etc. Among their products were…
The Elliott 803A Computer (1959), The NRDC 401 Mk I Mainframe (important in early statistical research), The Elliott G-Pac analogue computer etc. etc
Their components were precision made as you would expect from an instrument maker.
This relay may be of interest to a restorer of early computer or military equipment.
Size : L.32 x W.11.5 x H.8mm with 5mm long tinned pins.
PCB through hole mounting 4 contact pins.
On the box in which they came to us is handwritten “6V Reed Relay”.
It has 4 contacts, the 2 straight ones at either end are possibly connected to the coil, there are 2 more bent contacts indicating perhaps a single pole ON/OFF arrangement, we stress this is our own assessment just by looking at the device, but if you are qualified to test these out they are a good quality, vintage, British made component which you can test and make your own judgements.

PLEASE NOTE!
These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a ‘MILSPEC’ Co. and have been kept in storage for some time, we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’, they are however in good serviceable condition, the photographs are representative of their general appearance, being of one of our actual stock, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
If you have similar items to this, or indeed any electronic components that are surplus to requirements please contact us with details.
