Retrieved from redundant WORKING communications equipment the photographs above show the chip once retrieved, and still in situ in its socket, on the PCB, it will be removed observing static precautions and properly packed in a section of anti static tube, they are guaranteed to function perfectly. The PCBs on which the chips are mounted came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large telecommunications Co.
Date coded in the 90’s these are a genuine Harris ICL 8211 or Intersil ICL8211 CPA chip. The manufacturer of the PCB from which we retrieve these sourced both Harris and Intersil chips, consequently you may receive either make.

Description:

The Harris ICL8211 is a micropower bipolar monolithic integrated circuit intended primarily for precise voltage detection and generation. These circuits consist of an accurate voltage reference, a comparator and a pair of output buffer/drivers. Specifically, the ICL8211 provides a 7mA current limited output sink when the voltage applied to the ‘THRESHOLD’ terminal is less than 1.15V (the internal reference).
