Displays shows 4 figure of 8 characters with 4 dots and a Colon (see photo’s) i.e…..

These are brand new, tubed, full spec parts but we are unable to find a datasheet for them.

If buyers can supply any information data sheets etc. special discounts may apply!

A recent happy customer supplied the following information  – re the pin outs and function of the display.

The displays have the following pinouts:-  

“Segment definition : Top horizontal segment is A Working clockwise around display next vertical is B lower vertical is C, bottom horizontal is D next vertical is E, next vertical is F and central horizontal is G

NOTE: The pin numbering is from left to right (1 – 14), with the display facing you and the pins away from you. The display is 4 digit common anode, hence the display would normally be used in a multiplex mode. The pinout is as per following table, but take note of the comments after the table.

Segment F Pin 13 Segment G Pin14 Colon Pin 6 +ve These are for the colon between digits 3 & 4 Colon Pin 7 –ve.

Do not forget a series resistor! **** Pin 11

Please note! This is odd in that it is the E segment for digit 1 only. Pin 1 does not work for Digit one!

It is ok to connect pin 11 to pin 1 to give full 7 segment display to all digits.

There is no connection for the decimal points. The colon does work though.”

These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large Milspec type Co. and have been kept in storage for some time, we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’.
