Features: Temperature-controlled probe, automatic adjustment of the speed is usually very quiet, when the temperature is high, it will automatically accelerate.

Electrical connection is through 3 wires red, white and black to a small 3 pin connector.
Red and Black are positive and negative (if only these are connected fan runs happily and the other white wire can be ignored).

A 3-wire fan has power, ground, and a tachometric (“tach”) output, which provides a signal with frequency proportional to speed. A 3-wire fan can be controlled using the same kind of drive as for 2-wire fans—variable dc. Control of speed of 3-pin fans can ONLY be done by changing the voltage supplied to it on Pin#2 (white wire), so this system is called “Voltage Control Mode”, or sometimes “DC Mode”
