An old fashioned toggle switch with stylish, bright, pear-shaped, stainless steel dolly made by NSF Controls (they acquired Cutler Hammer in the 1950’s) .
The 1950’s saw a rapid expansion of products manufactured by NSF including the acquirement of Oak Switches and Cutler-Hammer Switches, and solenoids. NSF itself was then acquired, first by Rothermal Group, then by the Motor & Electronics Corporation (MEC), and finally in 1957 Simms Motor absorbed MEC to become Simms Motor & Electronics Corporation (SMEC). In 1968, the Lucas Group took over SMEC.
During the Lucas-Varity merger in 1996, it becomes clear the Keighley site is surplus to requirements. Seeing the potential in the company four senior managers gather with employees and investors to form a management buy out.
NSF Controls Ltd was re-established with 56 employees and celebrated 25 years of success on Monday 4th of July 2022.

Manufactured in the 70’s these came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘milspec’ type Co., as they have been stored loosely in a storage bin they may have picked up the odd mark on the casing, we have therefore listed them as “new other”.
They are however unused, in virtually new condition, and work perfectly, the photographs above are of one of our actual stock and it gives a fair representation of their general condition.
PLEASE NOTE!
These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Milspec ‘ type Co. and have been kept in storage for a time, they are however in good serviceable condition, the photographs are of one of our actual stock, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
If you have similar items to this, or indeed any electronic components that are surplus to requirements please contact us with details.
