For sale here we have the above…
Packed on protective non stick sheets
4 strips to a sheet
Each strip is 100mm Long x 25mm Wide x 1mm Thick
Flexible waterproof sealing tape in strips.
Here’s a chance to stock up on a really useful workshop item – this high grade sealing tape came to us as part of a ‘surplus lot’ of parts and components from a large Milspec type Co. Milspec quality at a fraction of the normal cost. They are stored with us still in sealed manufacturers boxes of 800 strips see photo’s above.
It can be used in a number of ways:-
It is very adhesive when unpeeled from its waxy protective cover sheets and will stick to any surface. If applied flat to a surface it adheres immediately if another layer is then pressed on top a permanent waterproof bond results. It also self bonds and so could be used to surround and seal external joints of aerial cables, entry and exit connection points on satellite TV installations etc. When wrapped tightly round a joint it provides a complete waterproof and weatherproof seal. If worked in the hand it behaves like a sealing compound/putty when applied to small holes or cracks.
It is supplied here on Ebay aimed mainly at radio hams for sealing antenna joints connectors etc. Though as mentioned it has a multitude of other uses in and around the home!
Sealing and waterproofing of the F connector plug connections on LNB’s for satellite use
Sealing and waterproofing of the connections on outdoor aerials for TV use
Sealing and waterproofing of external joins in coaxial cables
Sealing and waterproofing of the external connections on Ham radio setups
Sealing and waterproofing of joins in external low voltage wiring, eg outdoor lighting
Minor plumbing repairs preventing leakage from joints in non pressured water pipes
Sealing of pipes and cables in automotive repairs
Poor mans blue tac – sticks posters to walls, notes to fridges, reminders wherever!
Recently we discovered another use, while fitting some guttering to a stable roof, we used the tape to seal the joints, 24 months of wet Welsh weather later – no leaks!
These handy strips came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Milspec ‘ type Co. and have been kept in storage for a time, they are however pristine, stored with us still in their original packaging and ‘as new’ in all respects, the photographs are representative of their excellent condition, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
