Made to British Standard BS1363/A they have a white plastic insulating section at the base of the Live and Neutral pins. BS1363A is a higher spec than BS1363 these leads were made for use in rugged testing environments and have hard wearing solid rubberised connectors moulded to a VDE (The VDE Institute tests and certifies cables and cords for energy, signal and data transmission) and kema-keur (a common quality mark for cables and cords that meet harmonized European specifications ) cable.
These came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from large UK based manufacturing company, and are very good quality.
C7 to UK mains PLUG cable usually known as a figure 8 lead. The figure of 8 term comes from the fact that the 2 way power input socket has two circles side-by-side resembling a figure of 8. Most commonly used for powering low powered appliances such as portable CD players audio/video equipment and some laptop power supplies. These days you can also find this type of power cable used on products like LED or smart TVs.
