In the Kit:
1 x snap together 9 way D type to D type housing
2 x D type connector shells (plug to socket)
9 x multi coloured connecting wires with plugs one end and sockets the other
2 x Y splitter wires (in case they are needed)
4 x jack screws
2 x hex nuts
This exceedingly useful kit makes it possible to make-up a custom adapter in the field without soldering or crimp tooling.
Apart from their obvious purposes, the possibility arises of wiring remote-control logic and the like using standard, low-cost, 9-pin D-sub to D-sub cables, with these adapters used for the custom element of the wiring.
Each kit consists of a D-to-D snap-together hood, which accepts two 9-pin D-sub crimp-connectors (supplied as standard with plug and socket), plus nine pre-terminated wires (including 2 Y-splitter wires in case they are needed) and the plug and socket crimp housings.
Once the wiring is assembled the hoods snap-fit over the D connectors and jack-screws, 2 hex nuts are also in the kit in case they are needed.
