Motorola MC14013BCLD vintage military – or industrial-grade CMOS Dual Type D Flip-Flop integrated circuit built using complementary MOS (CMOS) enhancement-mode devices. Manufactured in the early 1980’s.
- Logic Function: Dual positive-edge triggered D-Type flip-flop. Each independent flip-flop contains Data (D), Clock (C), Direct Set (S), Direct Reset (R) inputs, and complementary (Q and Q̄) outputs.
- Package Type: CDIP-14 (Ceramic Dual In-line Package, 14-pin, 0.3-inch width). The ceramic layout offers superior thermal protection compared to standard plastic alternatives.
- Supply Voltage Range: 3.0 Vdc to 18 Vdc.
- Operating Temperature Range: Military grade, rated for -55°C to +125°C.
- Frequency (fmaxf sub m a x end-sub𝒇𝒎𝒂𝒙): Minimum 2 MHz.
Decoding the Part Number
- MC: Motorola prefix (the legacy semiconductor division is now part of ON Semiconductor / Freescale / NXP).
- 14013: The base part number for a Dual D-Type Flip-Flop.
- B: Indicates high-voltage “B-Series” CMOS specifications (3V to 18V limits).
- CL: Signifies a Ceramic Dual In-Line Package (CDIP) with a military/aerospace operating temperature tier.
- D: Suffix typically identifying factory-specific shipping configurations (e.g., tube/rail packaging) or minor design revisions.

PLEASE NOTE!
These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘milspec’ type Co. and have been kept in storage for some time (date coded 8224), we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’, they are however pristine, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
If you have similar items to this, or indeed any electronic components that are surplus to requirements please contact us with details.
