Adjustable Precision Zener Shunt Regulator in TO92 Package
The LM431 is a 3-terminal adjustable shunt regulator with guaranteed temperature stability over the entire temperature range of operation. The output voltage can be set to any value between VREF (approximately 2.5V) and 36V with two external resistors. These devices have a typical dynamic output impedance of 0.2R. Active output circuit provides a sharp turn-on characteristic, making these devices excellent replacements for Zener diodes in many applications. This product is general usage and suitable for many different applications.
