These are high quality old fashioned jack plugs, originally patented by Rendar in 1958/59
We believe these are PO B-gauge jack plugs – only the main shaft is 1/4″ the area of shaft between the 2 insulating rings and the round tip are smaller in diameter, so please be aware they are different from modern 6.35mm jacks.
They were designed for patch bays in telephone exchanges and broadcast stations.
Main shaft of plug: 1/4″ in diameter (6.35mm).
Chromed area of the shaft between the two insulating bands: Approx 5.25mm diam.
Round tip: Approx 4.25mm diam.
Designed for use with a screened cable.
Plug unscrews to reveal four separate components:-
1) Chromed stereo jack shaft section with three screw terminals
2) Chromed metal barrel section (plastic lined)
3) Plastic cable clamp
4) Plastic cable entry end cap.
PLEASE NOTE!
These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Mispec’ type Co. and have been kept in storage for some time, we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’, they are however pristine, stored with us sealed in original packaging, the photographs are representative of their excellent condition, being of some of our actual stock, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
