IP 67 Enclosures are rated as “dust tight” and protected against immersion.
IP (or “Ingress Protection”) ratings are defined in international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992, European IEC 60509:1989). They are used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies (tools, dirt etc) and moisture.

Two knock out threaded holes at each end to accept cable glands, approx 20mm diam.
The seal between base and lid is achieved by means of an all round tongue and groove type system, the groove in the lid is fitted with a rubber sealing ring when the lid is screwed down the tongue on the base compresses in to the rubber to seal the box.
The screw down lid is retained by 4 recessed crosspoint screws.

These boxes came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Mispec’ type Co. and have been kept in storage for a time, we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’, they are however pristine, stored with us sealed in original packaging, the photographs are representative of their excellent condition, being of some of our actual stock, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
