Supplied in a solid open frame heavy duty design the opposite of low profile they sit way up off the PCB.
Once inserted the chip is also protected somewhat by the side walls of the socket.
These came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Milspec’ type Co. they are as new but having been kept in storage for some years (dates on some of the packaging suggest manufacture in the 80’s) we have classified them as new other.
Given their age and the ‘Milspec’ type manufacturer, these connectors are both made to a specification, and gold plated to a level, higher than is available today!

These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large ‘Milspec ‘ type Co. and have been kept in storage for a time, they are however pristine, stored with us still in their original packaging and ‘as new’ in all respects, the photographs are representative of their excellent condition, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
