The switch has a circuit diagram moulded into it’s casing, it shows the switch in its inactivated state, terminals 1 and 2 are connected terminal 2 is in fact blanked off so the switch is normally off, when the button is pressed the connection to terminal 2 changes over to terminal 3, thus closing the circuit between 1 and 3 and turning this circuit On.
