Manufactured by GEC (see photographs), these are premium quality axial polystyrene capacitors with very close tolerance

Excellent capacitors for frequency dependent and audio electronic projects.

Polystyrene is a superior dielectric material with exceptionally high insulation resistance and low loss. Aluminium foil electrodes are used and terminal wires are welded to them to ensure satisfactory performance at low voltage and frequency.

Polystyrene Capacitors are recommended for use in I.F transformers, tuned circuits, pulse networks, laboratory standards, timing circuits, analogue and digital computing circuits and many other applications where superior qualities are used to advantage.

These are stored with us still in original bags and IN GOOD SERVICEABLE CONDITION.  Originally supplied to a large UK based ‘Milspec ‘ type Co. they came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock, having been kept in their stores for many years (they are date coded 7240) we have classified them as ‘new other’.
