40 Way ribbon cable mount IDC card edge connector socket (40 gold plated contacts 20 top and 20 bottom).
Manufactured in the 80’s by SAE/Midland Ross Ltd. (Stanford Applied Engineering being the US parent Co.).
Given their age and their ‘Milspec’ type manufacturer, these connectors were both made to a higher specification, and gold plated to a higher level, than is available today!
Non-keyed or polarised (will mate any way up)
