Vintage Polystyrene Capacitor

– the more you buy the greater the discount.
They are stored with us in sealed packs of 10 and are absolutely ‘as new’. Originally supplied to a large UK based ‘Milspec ‘ type Co. these came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock, having been in storage for some years (on the casing they are marked 8018E) we have classified them as ‘new other’.
Capacitor markings:
8018E TMK
40300/1%
125V.DC.HD
We have given all the information we have on these, and cannot find a datasheet on line.
We think the date code must be 1980 week 18
TMK Letters – Unknown manufacturer perhaps??
The 40300 refers to a pica Farad value but it seems a strange, very precise one, we consulted a college who helps us out occasionally with more tricky to identify surplus items he teaches electronics and writes for Practical Electronics his opinion was…
