Vintage Suflex Polystyrene Capacitor
240000pF 160V 2.5%
(240nF or 0.24uF)
Manufactured by Suflex (see photographs), these are not the earlier troublesome non-suflex parts, they are premium quality axial polystyrene capacitors with very close tolerance
Excellent capacitors for frequency dependent and audio electronic projects.
Polystyrene is a superior dielectric material with exceptionally high insulation resistance and low loss. Aluminium foil electrodes are used and terminal wires are welded to them to ensure satisfactory performance at low voltage and frequency.
Polystyrene Capacitors are recommended for use in I.F transformers, tuned circuits, pulse networks, laboratory standards, timing circuits, analogue and digital computing circuits and many other applications where superior qualities are used to advantage.

Please Note!
These parts came to us as part of a lot of surplus stock from a large Milspec type Co. and have been kept in storage for some time (they are date coded 1982), we have therefore classified them as ‘new other’. They are however IN GOOD SERVICEABLE CONDITION, the photographs are representative of their general condition, being of one of our actual stock, and, as with all our products they come with a full guarantee.
We Purchase Surplus Stock!!!
