Product: Beryllium Copper Battery Contacts Positive and Negative Sold in Pairs Select 5, 10 or 20 Pairs. The contacts are very similar in design with only a slight difference between the positive and negative (see Photo’s) the two types will be supplied separately bagged.
A connecting contact must have conductive properties in order to transport energy from a battery to the device which it is powering. Many different materials are conductive, such as copper, aluminium, gold, silver, etc. When it comes to metals, only silver has a higher electrical conductivity than copper.
These Beryllium contacts are certified to 97.9% copper (Cu), 1.9% Beryllium (Be), .02% Cobalt (Co). The full physical properties are density .302 lb./ cu in., elastic modulus 106 psi = 19, thermal expansion coefficient / 700 F to 4000 F = 9.7 x 10-6, thermal conductivity Btu/(ft-hr-0 F) = 60, and melting temp. 0F = 1600-1800.
